Newsom Baker sent this info to me on a piece of software he uses and finds helpful for his practice. Check it out and post your thoughts.
It seems almost nobody knows about a screen capture
software that I use every day. It's one of the neatest programs I've
ever used-absolutely indispensable for me. So I had to share it with you.
It brings up a re sizeable frame that captures whatever is on your
screen (or any portion thereof) for printing, storing, emailing,
stickynotes, etc. -very user friendly/powerful/cheap--free trial. I
have the pro version but the lite version works great too. I find
more ways to use this every day! See:
www.capturewiz.com/
For instance, I often want to save only PART of a web page
(especially without the ads), or wish I'd had some way to copy the
setup pages (what's checked & what's not) for software (such a all
your network settings on multiple setup pages) so when that software
crashes and has to be reinstalled-then you can reconfigure those
setup pages to restore the software exactly the way you had it in a
matter of minutes instead of days. CWiz is unbeatable for this. I
also often open Word at the same time so I can copy segments of pages
w CaptureWiz paste them into Word, & then print from Word-so I wind
up w segments from all over all printed out on only 1 or 2 pages
instead of the 8 to 9 pages of paper I would have gotten using
conventional web printing. For instance this was handy recently when
I was shopping for a digital camera. I captured the info on only the
3 finalist cameras from the web-eliminating the 20 other camera
descriptions I wasn't interested in, pasted those paragraphs into
Word, and took one sheet of paper containing my research to the store
with me. You'll think of a zillion uses once you use it some. I
should get a commission for all the times I recommend this program.
Good luck. Feel free to call "Tech support" (me) if you need to.
